End: Thanksgiving; Begin: Christmas!

Mom and Dad told me that Jesus's birthday is coming up soon. I haven't had a birthday yet, so I don't have any frame of reference, but I think this His birthday party is going to be the best ever! We have already starting decorating and it is still one month away. I am going to go to both Kansas and Nebraska to see my family. And, on Jesus's birthday, I get the presents!! Its going to be so much fun.

Here are some pictures of me getting the apartment ready for the holidays.

Thanksgiving Arts and Crafts

I thought I would share my first art project ever. I did it at daycare.

The original is hanging on my fridge. I would love to show it to you if you come and visit!

My First Thanksgiving

I just celebrated my first Thanksgiving. We went to Canada to see Niagara Falls. I know it seems a little bit wierd leaving the country to celebrate a national holiday, but I've never been to Canada before and this was seemed like a good opportunity.

First, I looked at Niagara Falls from the top of our hotel.

Then, Mom and Dad took me right down by the waterfall.

It was neat to see, but I got really cold walking home.

I had the most fun playing at the hotel. I got to go swimming and I tried out the hottub.

Mom and Dad wouldn't let me try the waterslide, but they said it was really fun.

It was too cold to go outside anymore, but I still got to look at the waterfall in the hotel.

I tried hard to figure out how there could be a waterfall inside (and why I wasn't getting wet).

Mom even tried to explain it to me.

I think I liked this waterfall better than the one outside.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

Technical Update

It seems that the pictures I posted were too dark on some computers. You can imagine the number complaints I received based on the high traffic of visitors to my blog. I have tried to lighten the photos a little, I hope that will help. If anyone is still having problems (or if it was better before) let me know.

Thanks.

Peter, Susan, Edmond, Lucy, and ME!

From the far land of Spare Oom and the bright city of War Drobe, Mom took me to the lamppost at the edge of Narnia, where some of my favorite stories took place.

It is getting cold in Michigan. There was snow falling yesterday! Luckily, I have my nice warm Yeti outfit so I hardly even notice.

Standing Practice

I have been working on my standing. I'm pretty good at it when I am holding on to things, like the fridge.

But I am trying hard to get it down all by myself!

Racing Stripes

Nothing is quite as fun as racing my zebra around the house. My legs aren't quite long enough to ride on its back, so I just push him around. I'm still working on turning corners (I need mom or dad's help when I hit a wall), but when I have a clear path in front of me, I can go FAST! I think pretty soon I am not even going to need the zebra to balance me as I run around the house.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The "Very Hungry Caterpillar" is a story that reminds me of one of my favorite things--eating! I like all foods (some of my favorites are broccoli, peaches, pumpkin, rice porridge, cheerios, chicken, and bananas).

But my favorite snack is graham crackers! I can eat graham crackers sooo fast! I also like graham crackers because my bunny, Skynyrd, gets to lick the mushy leftover crackers off my fingers and clothes.

I just learned about Halloween about a month ago. Dad let me have some delicious candy -- although I didn't make it through the wrapper.

Its probably not as good as the carrots I get at home anyway.

First Things

Welcome to my blog, where you can learn everything that has been happening in my short, but oh so exciting life.

I will try to post lots of cute photos and some updates about what I am doing, so make sure you check back often.

I'm a little slow getting my blog up and running (I'm almost 9 months old!), but I thought I should start from the beginning. So, here are a few photos from when I was born.

I want to make sure everyone remembers that I was the cutest baby, now that my new cousin Drew was just born.
